Privacy Policy

Your trust matters to us. This policy explains what information Elevatix collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: 22 June 2026

In plain words: Elevatix is a learning platform for school and college students. We collect only what we need to run the service — like your account details, the subjects you study, and the notes or questions you share with our AI. We never sell your personal data, and we take extra care with information belonging to students under 18.

This page explains the details. If anything here is unclear, please contact us.

1. Who we are

Elevatix (“Elevatix”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is an AI-powered learning platform that connects school and college students with AI tutoring, live expert mentors, peer communities, and parent progress tracking. This Privacy Policy applies to our website, apps, and related services (together, the “Service”).

The Service is operated by Elevatix. For any privacy questions, you can reach us at hello@elevatix.app.

2. Information we collect

We collect information to provide and improve the Service. This falls into a few categories:

Information you give us

  • Account details — name, email address, phone number, and password when you sign up or join the early-access waitlist.
  • Profile information — details like your grade or year, board or curriculum, subjects, school or college, and (for parents) your child's account link.
  • Learning content — questions you ask the AI, notes, PDFs, images, audio, and other files you upload, plus quizzes, flashcards, and progress you generate.
  • Community activity — posts, answers, and messages you share in peer communities or with mentors.
  • Communications — messages you send us through forms, email, or support.

Information we collect automatically

  • Usage data — features you use, sessions, pages viewed, and actions taken on the Service.
  • Device & technical data — device type, operating system, browser, app version, IP address, and general location (city/region level).
  • Cookies & similar technologies — see the “Cookies & tracking” section below.

Information from third parties

  • Payments — if you subscribe, our payment processor handles your card details and shares limited transaction information (such as confirmation and the last digits of your card) with us. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Sign-in providers — if you sign in with a third-party account, we may receive basic profile details you authorise.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and provide the Service.
  • Generate AI tutoring responses, study materials, and personalised learning recommendations.
  • Connect students with mentors and enable community and parent-tracking features.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • Respond to your questions and provide customer support.
  • Improve, troubleshoot, and develop new features (using aggregated or de-identified data where possible).
  • Keep the Service safe — detecting fraud, abuse, and security issues.
  • Send you important service messages and, where you've agreed, product updates. You can opt out of marketing at any time.
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use students' uploaded learning content to advertise to them.

5. Students & children's privacy

Elevatix is built for students, and we take the privacy of younger users seriously.

  • If you are under 18, you should use Elevatix with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. For users below the age defined as a child under applicable law, we require verifiable parental consent before creating an account or processing personal data.
  • We do not knowingly use children's personal data for behavioural advertising or to track them beyond what is needed to provide the Service.
  • Parents and guardians can review their child's information, request changes or deletion, and withdraw consent by contacting us.

If we learn that we have collected a child's personal data without the required parental consent, we will take steps to delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us information improperly, please contact us at hello@elevatix.app.

6. How we share information

We share personal information only in these limited situations:

  • Service providers — trusted companies that help us run Elevatix (such as cloud hosting, AI processing, analytics, payments, and communications), under contracts that require them to protect your data.
  • Mentors — when you book or join a session, we share the details needed for the mentor to support you.
  • Within families — parent-tracking features share a student's progress with the linked parent or guardian account.
  • Legal reasons — when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the public.
  • Business transfers — if Elevatix is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that deal, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

7. Cookies & tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, understand how the Service is used, and improve performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how parts of the Service work.

8. Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterwards only as long as necessary to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

9. How we protect your data

We use technical and organisational measures — such as encryption in transit, access controls, and secure infrastructure — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work hard to safeguard your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

10. Your rights & choices

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete your account and personal data.
  • Withdraw consent where we rely on it.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, and opt out of marketing messages.
  • Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of incapacity or death, where the law provides for it.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@elevatix.app. We may need to verify your identity first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority.

11. Third-party services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, tools, or content, and may rely on third-party providers for features like AI and payments. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

12. International data transfers

We are based in India and primarily process data here. Some of our service providers may store or process information in other countries. Where personal data is transferred across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy and applicable law.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service or by email. Your continued use of Elevatix after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
